Overcoming Drainage Failure: A Custom Greenwood Transformation

Residential water management systems face constant mechanical stress from environmental exposure. Traditional sectional gutters rely on caulked joints, gaskets, and screws every few feet to hold segments together. As the sun beats down on your roofline, the materials expand and contract, causing these sealed joints to shift, crack, and fail. Once a joint is compromised, persistent leaks develop, rotting the underlying wood fascia board and threatening your home's foundation.
We recently solved this exact engineering challenge for a homeowner right here in Greenwood, Indiana. The project required a heavy-duty, high-capacity drainage upgrade designed to handle intense Midwestern downpours while completely eliminating future maintenance hassle.
Our team custom-extruded and installed 400 feet of new black 6-inch seamless aluminum gutters paired with oversized 3x4 downspouts. Upgrading from a standard 5-inch system to a 6-inch seamless run drastically increases the water volume the system can shed, while the larger 3x4 downspouts ensure fast, efficient drainage without backup. Because seamless gutters are formed from a single, continuous piece of premium aluminum on-site, there are zero joints along the straight runs of the roofline, eliminating leak points entirely.
Before mounting the new system, we addressed critical hidden damage by replacing roughly 70 feet of rotted fascia board. Installing brand-new, structurally sound wood ensures the gutter hangers have a secure anchor point that won't sag over time. To finish the system, we installed GutterRx Gutter Guards. This premium, self-cleaning aluminum filtration system permanently prevents leaves, twigs, and birds from nesting in the channels, ensuring the Greenwood homeowner never has to clear a clogged gutter again.
